Heifer International has worked with communities to end world hunger, poverty, and care for the earth for 75 years. Heifer is supported by many UMC congregations and is headquartered in Little Rock near the hotel.

Little Rock Arkansas Food Bank began in 1982, when rice farmers found themselves with a surplus crop and hungry neighbors. They soon added a backpack program for school children, and now serve families, children and seniors throughout central Arkansas.
